Case Study: One e4 client felt they had an issue with coder consistency of E/M level assignment, and reached out with a very limited timeline. e4 immediately intervened, got access and had the first audit completed in 5 days. e4 identified that the client had a 36.2% E&M level error rate. e4 used our audit findings to develop customized education, and gave a two-hour presentation to impacted staff one week later. One month later e4 did a Post-Education Audit, which was turned around in less than one week.  That audit demonstrated that the error rate improved to 11.9% – which is a 67% reduction in error rate in 5 weeks. This improvement has contributed to a net revenue impact of $900k per year.
